I am so excited to finally get you these wedding pictures from Jon and Margie’s wedding at Sherrill’s Inn in Fairview, NC.  This sweet little hidden secret of a place in the hills of Fairview is breathtaking, with the gorgeous mountain views and the mazes of box hedges, it is easy to fall in love with this enchanting location.

One of my favorite things about a wedding is seeing all the little details the bride and groom consider.  For instance, Margie’s amazing sparkly TOMS, and the groomsmen’s purple shoes,  and all the little toys and gifts set out for the younger guest.  Margie and Jon have a heart for children and they wanted all of them invited to the big event to feel comfortable.  They had a kids table with crayons and hay bales to sit on.  It was all so charming!

I hope you enjoy the story these photos tell!  Thank you so much Margie and Jon for allowing me to be a part this fabulous day and sharing your friends and family with me!

I adore this spot at Sherrill’s Inn where the ceremony was held.  I felt like I was in an enchanted forest.  It was perfect.

Introducing for the 1st time Jon and Margie Cox!

They gave trees as wedding presents and guest were asked to fill out a wish for the bride and groom and hang it from the branches.

The cake was done by Margie’s dear friend and had sweet words written around each layer.  Brilliant idea.

Sherrill’s Inn also has an apple orchard and guests were able to pick apples with the bags provided.

You never know what you are going to find as you weave through the maze of boxwood hedges.  At one turn I discovered a Spring house and inside was filled with wire baskets of eggs at another turn a trampoline!

Flowers by Flying Cloud Farm.

The most amazing older couple swing on a giant swing.  I wish I could have talked with them longer, they were precious.

And the moon sailed high in the dark night sky.  Who can guess where that line is from?

This is one of the most amazing moments I have ever experienced at a wedding.  Margie’s brother in law was playing DJ and put on Journey’s “Don’t stop believing” and called Margie to the stage.  She sang that song with all her might and Jon played a pretty amazing air/microphone guitar.  The crowd went wild!

It appears that I have not blogged in awhile.  Summer just gets so busy and we ended it with a finale trip to the Outer Banks, Nags Head specifically.  Thankfully Nags Head and not Hatteras Island where we have gone before since the road there was washed away.  You can check out a few pictures [...]

It appears that I have not blogged in awhile.  Summer just gets so busy and we ended it with a finale trip to the Outer Banks, Nags Head specifically.  Thankfully Nags Head and not Hatteras Island where we have gone before since the road there was washed away.  You can check out a few pictures I posted on my Facebook Fan Page.  While you are there go ahead and click “like”.

Before I left for the beach I had the honor of Photographing Jon and Margie’s wedding.  It was at the beautifully historic Sherrill’s Inn in Fairview.  The owners of Sherrill’s Inn are also part owners of Hickory Nut Gap Farms and are just right up the hill from the farm.  Needless to say it is a gorgeous location.  I will be providing more details of the wedding in a post to come, but I just wanted to share a few of my favorites so far.

This amazing claw foot tub was off the room where the girls were getting ready.  Of course I had to get some pictures of Margie in the tub in her new Diane Von Furstenburg romper given to her by a friend that works there in NYC and her sparkly blue TOMS.

More to come on this beautiful wedding.  I just had to share some pictures!
